Hello lovelies!
This weekend I had the absolute pleasure of visiting my friend Bethany from http://unefemmeunefille.com/. On Saturday Bethany took me to see York, I had never been there before.
Our first stop was Patisserie Valerie for some much needed lunch, we decided to get the afternoon tea for two which came to £12.95 each.
In the “afternoon tea for two” deal we got –
Sandwiches
Cucumber
Chicken and pesto
Egg and cress
Ham and mushroom
Salmon and cream cheese
– We also had two mini cheese and pepper quiches
Mini cake selection
Two chocolate éclairs
Mini Victoria sponge
Carrot and walnut cake
Mini chocolate cake
Red berry mousse cake
Scones – two with currants and two plain. We had a huge pot of cream cheese and a strawberry/raspberry jam.
We had the most amazing time sampling all of the delicious cakes and sandwiches. I was full by the time we ate our scones but pushed through it and really enjoyed them. Bethany showed me how to make the perfect scone with just the right amount of jam and cream – so yummy. I would definitely recommend that you go if you have the chance. Bellow is a photograph of my “I am so full!” face.
York is a beautiful place, there was so much to see while walking around and so many different shops.
We stood and watched a band called “King no one” which were really good they did a cover of “get lucky”
We then went down a gorgeous old style street which had lots of sweet/chocolate shops and various boutiques, we spent a while browsing the shops and taking photographs.
We stopped in the Yorkshire soap shop – I was totally in my element here and went around smelling every soap. The shop was playing Mary Poppins music which made browsing so much more fun. The shop also sell Bomb Cosmetics which as you know I love!.
I had an amazing day in York and it is somewhere that I definitely want to re visit in the near future, there is so much to see and do. I think York would be a great place to go on a mini break away – it is beautiful, please go if you get the chance! A big thank you to my lovely friend Bethany for taking me.
Lots of love x
